XBMS — Next Level TechnologyXBMS
The entity behind the auction

Conducted by XBMS B.V.

Every auction we run is conducted by XBMS B.V., a private limited company incorporated under Dutch law and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK). XBMS B.V. operates the online sales and auction platform fec-assets.com and is the contracting party for both sellers and buyers.

We sell as a commission agent (commissionair): lots are offered in our own name, for the account of the seller. That keeps the seller anonymous to the bidding market — useful when a site closure, a line change or a capacity decision is not yet public.

Buyer funds are collected by XBMS B.V. and held for the seller's account in a bank account separate from our operating funds, then paid out per lot against a written settlement statement.

For sellers

From the plant floor to settlement — one party

Closing a site, replacing a line, or clearing a lab? You do not need to run a tender, hire riggers and chase buyers separately. XBMS B.V. takes the full scope under one agreement.

Inspection & cataloguing

Joint inspection on site, a reconciled asset list with serial numbers and accessories, professional photography, technical descriptions, and the lotting strategy that suits your asset mix.

Removal & transport

Collection, packing, loading and transport by qualified people — with a signed custody transfer record per asset, and specialist handling where the equipment demands it.

Secured storage

Assets are stored in a secured warehouse in the Netherlands and insured while in our custody, so the site can be handed over long before the last lot is sold.

Marketing & bidding

Lots are published on fec-assets.com and marketed to our international buyer database. We set the lotting, bidding increments and closing mechanics — reserve prices in consultation with you.

Invoicing & settlement

We invoice and collect from buyers, hold proceeds for your account in a separate client account, and pay net proceeds against a per-lot settlement statement showing hammer price, commission and VAT.

Unsold lots & wind-down

Unsold lots are re-offered, sold by private treaty, or disposed of and recycled as agreed. Anything with storage media is data-sanitised before it leaves our custody.

For buyers

Bidding in an XBMS auction

Our auctions are open to verified business buyers across Europe and beyond. Registration is free.

1
Register & get verified
Create an account on fec-assets.com. We verify bidder identity and screen against EU, UN, UK and US sanctions lists before bidding is enabled.
2
Inspect the catalogue
Review photos, technical descriptions and available documentation per lot. Viewing by appointment where the location and schedule allow.
3
Bid
Timed online bidding with fixed increments and a published closing time. Reserve prices are confidential; unreserved lots go to the highest bidder.
4
Pay & collect
You pay the hammer price plus buyer's premium and VAT where applicable. Lots are released once funds have cleared, sold as-is and where-is.

Prefer not to bid yourself? XBMS also acts as buyer's agent at third-party auctions — we bid, handle the paperwork and verify compliance on your behalf. See auction representation

Terms & entity

The small print

Auctions are conducted by XBMS B.V., registered in the Netherlands with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK), operating the sales and auction platform fec-assets.com. All lots are sold under the XBMS auction terms of sale — as-is and where-is, without warranty as to condition, performance, fitness for purpose or completeness. Buyer's premium and VAT are charged where applicable.

Consignment scope, commission, reserve prices and timelines are agreed per project in a written auction and sales services agreement before any asset leaves the site. Software licences, service contracts and manufacturer warranties do not transfer to buyers unless the seller and the manufacturer agree; where that applies, it is stated in the lot listing.
